I like the app for theme clock. it says its easy to use and it says so many options to change but then no instructions how to change the options. I thought I remember reading somewhere about holding finger on screen for a few seconds to have options show up, or two fingers on screen at same time but nothing happens????

if its so easy to use why cant I get to the options? Would be nice to have some decent instructions, at least posted on the website.

Maybe I’m blind I’ll keep looking. Please provide some instructions.
    Thanks much.

App looks great. Marketing, not so much. The lame trick of listing all the popular apps on your page, just to appear on any searches for those apps, does not reflect well on your company. It smacks of spam emails, and makes me deeply suspicious of you.

Thanks for your comment. There is a pop up with the instructions when you first load the app. Also the loading screen has the sliding instruction underneath the theme clock icon. We thought that will make things a bit simpler by not providing the popup every time, which can be quite annoying.

Thanks for your comment, we will add it in our app description. Here are the instructions:
    * Swipe left or right to change themes
    * Double tap screen to load up configuration screen.

If you have any suggestion to make it clear, we would like to hear from you.

We completely agree with your comment. All searches should be relevant. We also have a Web development background, so we understand the use of Ethical SEO practices.
We started iPhone app development not too long ago. There are a lot of things we still need to learn. We recently noticed a few apps using the listing technique called “App Jacking”. As part of our research for a better understanding of the app store we attempted to trial it’s use.

To be honest, we don’t like this technique as we believe in the quality of our work. We are happy so many people liked our app.

We have now removed the list of top apps from our app description.

    Thanks for your constructive feedback.

Thanks for the prompt response. It’s good to see you respond well to criticism, and I’ll adjust my score now for your app. If it had an alarm, it would get the full 5 stars :)

    Thank you!
We are going to put an alarm in. But it probably going to take slightly longer as we are going to put some extra features in to make it worthwhile for our users. There will be a lot of work for us, but we are trying to get it out there ASAP.

Love the design, simple but it’s clear attention to detail has been given.

Would you mind telling me how you manage to get those effects on the fonts that you use? e.g are they some kind if stylized fonts or do you use quartz or openGL to render the effects.

  13. 13
    Anna Says:

Thanks for your appreciation, not everyone noticed how much details there are.

Sure. They are not fonts, we manually created all the segments and visual effects using vector tools and graphic editing software. We didn’t use Quartz or OpenGL. Imagine coding all those effects, it would be a nightmare.

Sometimes the clock stucks and I can see the same time over and over

    @Xargon

Hi, I am glad you posted this!

When you see the same time over and over, do you mean you see the same time again after you shut down and clock then re-launch it again?

We haven’t been able to reproduce the time freeze no matter how we try. We tried with a few devices with different OS versions in various ways, including locking the device, let it automatically go into auto-lock, leaving it run for 24 hours. No luck at all.

Can you please list the steps what did you do to produce that bug?
    e.g.
    1. What clock setting did you have
    2. How long did you leave the clock running for
    3. How long did you leave your device running for
    4. Any other activities like how often do you change the themes and settings etc
    5. Are there any apps you were running before you run the clock. If so, what is it?
    6. What device (i.e, iPod Touch 1st Gen or 2nd Gen, iPhone 2G or 3G) are you using and what OS version?

We are currently investigation this issue. It will be great if you (or anyone else) can give us some clue how to reproduce it. It will help a lot.

Also, the next update (added portrait mode) has been submitted to the app store. It should be available to download within 3 days if everything is fine with Apple. If the update fixed the issue, please do let us know as well.

    Thanks.
