    Hi Dan,

    Thanks for your post.

We are working on phase 2 of Theme Clock and it will let users configure their favourite themes for sliding. We will consider optional seconds display and flash light feature depending on how our current schedule goes.

Thanks again for your suggestions. It is great for us to hear from our users!

    hi guys,
just dloaded this app and really like it – good work
ive always wanted something to prevent my phone auto locking all the time but while still having it lock normally when im aout and about

….plus it looks really cool too – and much easier to see clock, date, day etc

defo would be worth 59p plus ;)

    cheers
    dan

btw: like the settings menu – nice – what about a theme lock option? i only want to change theme very occasionally – so dont want it sliding when i touch screen all the time
-also, what about a mesage option? ie display some text entered by user

    cheers

    Anna Says:

    Hello dan55,

Thanks for your comment. Very glad you like Theme Clock.

We are currently working on the next version, which will give the option to adjust the dimmer brightness.

The theme locking is a great idea, we will add it to our feature list for future versions. Thanks for the suggestion!

As for the message option, unfortunately the UI won’t have any space for that because the extra space is reserved for a new feature.

The new version should be out shortly, might be a few weeks depending on Apple’s approval process (which now takes longer than before). We are very busy working on it. We hope this explains why we haven’t been as prompt as usual in replying on our FAQ. Apologies for that.

    hi Anna,
thats great news – cant wait :)

btw: think there might be a slight bug with current build. it is todo with the ‘turn auto lock off’ feature. normally works fine, but if the phone shuts down due to low battery when you next run TC this feature doesnt work. if you then reboot phone, all is well again

    many thanks

btw: why are you selling the app? is it an issue with the app store – just wondering

    Hi again,

Very pleased to see your posts!

We’ve heard people saying the auto-lock feature is not working but we were not able to reproduce it. Thanks for pointing it out!

Why aren’t we selling the clock? It was suppose to be a paid app. We ran into a lot of trouble sorting out the developer program with Apple (I won’t go into the details). In the end we had to release it for free and because we couldn’t wait. The fact that you guys appreciate our product means a lot to us. We have put a lot of professional resources into making this app.

The next version of Theme Clock will have a multi alarm clock along with some other extra features and it will be our first paid app. Fingers crossed!

    hi Anna,

glad to be of help :) btw: if you need any beta testers for the new version ;)

    cheers
    dan

ps: the auto lock off feature also gets overwritten when there is a new sms message etc – would be cool if TC stayed in foreground and showed the sms message – but i realise that the new message might push TC to the background ?
    cheers

    Hi,

I don’t know if anyone has the same problem with this app, but when I put my iPod in my dock at night and switch theme clock on it happens that after some time the menue pops up without anyone touching the iPod. I have NO idea how that happens, its a great app, but with this bug its useless for me.

Would be great if anyone could tell me how to get rid of this problem.

    thx

    Sebastian

    Anna Says:

    Hi Sebastian,

    This genuinely sounds strange.

Can you tell us which version of Theme Clock are you using and if it only happens in this version (if you used a previous version before)? Also, what OS and what generation of iPod are you using?

We will investigate how it happens and plan a fix for the next update.

    Anna Says:

    Hi Dan55,

We do wish to have beta testers. But how are we going to achieve that? I am not sure because the App Store does not allow beta releases. So we have to use our existing resources.

Thanks for another clue on the auto-lock issue. We now have a good idea on what causes the problem. We will include the fix in the next update.

    dan55 Says:

    hi Anna.
good news on that fix. cool. thanks

for beta testers i think you have to
apply to apple. they only allow a few
users to do it so i hear. shall check.

    cheers
    dan :)

    Anna Says:

    Hi Dan55,

Thanks for the beta tester suggestion. We have been thinking about it and now are considering setting up a proper beta testing program for our future apps. Having beta testers for Theme Clock is cutting it a bit close to its launch deadline. We’ll see if it is possible for the versions after this one.

    Thanks again for the suggestions!
